The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport, located around 315 km away in the Nainital region. From Pantnagar, you can take a taxi directly to Munsiyari, or go part of the way by taxi to Almora and then switch to a bus or shared jeep for the rest of the ride.

By Train

The closest major train station is Kathgodam, about 278 km from Munsiyari. There are two daily trains from Delhi to Kathgodam, so it's wise to book tickets early as they fill up fast. From Kathgodam, you'll need to take a bus or shared jeep to nearby towns like Almora or Pithoragarh, and then another vehicle to Munsiyari.

By Road

A road trip from Delhi to Munsiyari takes at least 2 days of driving. There are no direct buses, but you can drive your own vehicle or hire a private taxi. A cost-effective option is taking a shared taxi or jeep.

By Bus

There are no direct buses from Delhi to Munsiyari. You first need to take a bus from Delhi to Almora or Pithoragarh, and then another bus/shared jeep from there to Munsiyari. Buses also run from Delhi to Haldwani, from where you can connect to Munsiyari. For those coming from the Haridwar/Garhwal side, take a bus to Almora or Bageshwar first, and then another bus/shared ride to Munsiyari, as direct buses may not be available.

No matter which route you take, breaking the journey over 2 days allows you to stopover at places like Nainital, Pangot, Binsar, or Chaukori along the way to experience the charm of the Kumaon region before reaching Munsiyari. Best Time To Visit Munsiyari

If you want to see Munsiyari in full bloom, plan your trip for March or April. During these spring months, the rhododendron flowers blanket the slopes in vibrant reds and pinks. For a winter wonderland experience, the best months are November through February. This is when Munsiyari is covered in bright white snow from top to bottom.
